Michele Arevalo

Michele is Director, High Performance Computing & Business Partner Support at Tampa Electric Company (TECO), where she leads a team of more than 100 technical professionals who support IT infrastructure. She has worked at TECO for thirty-six years and has lived in Tampa her entire life. She holds a BS in Management Information Systems and an MBA from University of Tampa. Her parents, who were also lifelong Tampa residents, shared a story with her about visiting a particular beach when they were young and seeing a sign that read “No Dogs and No Latins.” This story stayed with Michele and led her to wanting to help others to ensure they were treated fairly and equitably.
