About the Event
Since 1992, HSC has served the Latino community by advocating for and providing the resources for their success. This year’s event will feature a panel of health experts who will discuss the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on the Latino community, including inequities related to testing and vaccination access, and the nuanced effects the pandemic has had on mental health. Emmy Award winning journalist and VP of Communications for Tampa International Airport, Veronica Cintron, will facilitate the discussion and moderate the event. We are thrilled to feature music from O Som Do Jazz, a professional Brazilian jazz group composed of St. Petersburg College employees, and the incredible, original work of two local poets from HeardEm Say Collective. Join us!
Due to the generosity of our sponsors, HSC is able to adjust the cost of individual tickets, which can be purchased on a sliding scale from $15 to $35. Hosting a virtual event provides the opportunity for more members of our community to participate and the sliding scale option makes the event accessible to all.
